Santa Monica Vibes - II

Updated: Jan 29, 2023

Santa Monica is the perfect mix between city and beach. I hope this set captures that vibe. We're also continuing the experiment of the difference color and black and white versions of the photos have on us. Let me know what your preference is! Should I keep sharing both?

Walking shots are difficult. Simply put, any action shot is hard to capture. Either the facial expressions are weird, the movement is glitched (meaning a hand or leg looks weird) or the picture itself is blurry. So, when I get a movement shot like the main photo of this set I get really excited. The photo worked out so well, and luckily we were able to do this quickly. Honestly, I need to complement Anthony Deleo the photographer for getting this shot. For me as the model it was pretty simple: walk slow, happy faces. For Deleo he was getting the angles and making the photo come to life through his camera. He was even able to capture the bird that was flying behind me. Everything in this photo represents the mix that Santa Monica offers. I can not wait to go back.

The little area we found made me think of Paris. I can’t fully say this because I have never personally been to Paris. However, any photos that I have seen always have really beautiful architecture. You can tell they pay attention to how they build things, the patterns/textures used and the colors they accent with. I believe that we walked a little down the pier to find this location. It is the same blue from photo set one but on the windows instead of the doors. Even the detailing of the windows matched a Paris theme. I really hope you are all imagining what I am talking about, or else I may sound crazy. If you can’t imagine a visual image try looking up “Paris Windows” and see what comes up…

For any of you TV show fans, have you watched the Netflix original “Emily in Paris?” I have seen a few episodes and tried to start watching the show once. For some reason I haven’t been fully pulled into it yet which is shocking because usually when I start shows I become addicted and can’t stop watching them. So maybe once I am done with the few shows I am watching I will add Emily in Paris into the fold. I think the show would be up my alley. If any of you have seen it, or have another show in mind, what should I begin watching?

Truthfully, I love teen dramas such as Grey's Anatomy, The Vampire Diaries, and Pretty Little Liars. So if you have any shows that are similar to those I will immediately love them. Another thing I love is reality Tv because I watch shows when I am doing homework or other things like that. I am liking Buying Beverly Hills as of right now because it is the perfect mix of reality drama and learning about real estate. Anyways, that is just some information, this always happens when I talk about traveling! It always makes me think of so many different things.

Thanks for chatting today, I will see you next time.
