Santa Monica Pier - I

The Santa Monica Pier is SO beautiful and vibrant! I'll definitely be back to shoot more here. The whole city makes me feel alive. If you ever want to feel inspired by life, a quick trip to the pier to people watch will do the trick.

Alright, get ready for some outfit changes and location changes. This is going to be such a fun week because we have so much variety from California. I love cali for a number of reasons. Here is one of the reasons; Cali has some of the best photo shoot locations! Everywhere you look there is an opportunity for a “photo-op.” I imagine California as this huge place that is made for fun, think about it. There is the beach, which is perfect for the Summer or for surfers to have an amazing time. Then there is the city, busy streets, everyone is living their own lives doing busy things, searching for something, fighting for a dream. And we can’t forget about DisneyLand. “The happiest place on earth” where everyone can go and think about their childhood dreams and choose to have loads of fun. It is perfect for die hard Disney fans, little kids and teens wanting a thrill. California also has little pop up things like the Santa Monica Pier. So many people come here to enjoy the little rides, walk around and enjoy the games.

When I went to the Pier it was closed down, it was sad because I really wanted to go on the rides and make some fun video content. Photo wise it worked out super well because we got to use the location without avoiding walking by people. It was fun to see everything and get to photograph all that we wanted to do! We started by shooting down by the beach. I was shocked at how dirty the beach was. There was trash covering the shores of the water- which makes sense because of how busy and polluted California is. It also made me a little bit sad because it shows how dirty the ocean is. Luckily there were a few workers that were cleaning up the trash while we took photos. I am glad that there are people who are cleaning it, and hopefully the Ocean will continue to get cleaned and all of the sea animals will be safe and taken care of!

These photos are so classic and they are everything I wanted them to be. I had a vision but the photographer went above and beyond! He captured the fair behind me and made me feel like I was playing around enjoying the beach and the fair. I love that we are able to see the ferris wheel and all of the fair colors. It matches with my outfit and the flowy colorful shorts! One of my favs of the set is me laughing with my hands behind my back. I like it because the ferris wheel is really showing and when I look at the photo I just feel so genuinely happy.
