Little Red in the Woods

Updated: Nov 21, 2022

Happiest of Halloweens… Can you guess what I dressed up as this year?

This year Halloween was different for me than usual. As you will soon see I got surgery to get my tonsils out. I got this surgery a few days before Halloween. I was in a lot of pain so I didn't go out. The past few years of my teenage life I have enjoyed getting all pretty and mingling with friends. I love getting dressed up and pretending to be a different character… so I got dressed up early and shot this set for you!

I decided to be Little Red Riding Hood. For those of you who aren't familiar with the story, she is a young girl who goes to give her Grandmother deliveries daily. She walks through the forest in a red cape, therefore everyone calls her Little Red Riding Hood. During a trip to her Grandmother's house she meets a wolf; the wolf questions her about where she is going and what she has in her apron. The wolf dresses up as her Grandmother and tries to trick the granddaughter. Their conversation goes like…

“Oh, Grandmother,” she says, “what big ears you have.”

“The better to hear you with my child.” was the reply.

“But, grandmother, what a terrible big mouth you have.”

“The better to eat you with.”

There are many different versions of the ending of this story but classically the granddaughter always ends up being saved by a huntsman and everything is resolved. This tale is very classic so it was very fun to be her in this photo set!!
