Welcome to the last photo set of this week, I hope you have enjoyed seeing a variety of throwbacks this week! And the exciting news is that next week is Christmas and we have a special new photo set taken last week specially for members of Alana Kern Life. The photo set for next week was taken in Park City Utah and I'm so hyped for you to enjoy a brand new photo set! Also, the week after next we have ANOTHER brand new photo set coming to you as a New Years 2023 special. The New Years pics were taken in Provo Utah which happens to be one of my favorite places to take pictures.
This photo set was also taken two years ago in Big Bear California. The dress is so adorable and in my opinion it's a mix of a disco ball and flapper girl of the 1920’s. I found this dress when I was randomly shopping at Fashion Place mall in Murray Utah. I love this mall because they have all of my favorite stores in one place. They have Zara, Pacsun, Nordstrom, Aeropostale and best of all they have Urban Outfitters. Urban Outfitters can be very hit or miss, sometimes the items are so adorable but too expensive, other times the style can be very grungy and doesn't fit my vibe. Even though it's hit or miss I still have to go in and check it out! I bought this dress right before everything was shut down- why did I buy it? Not sure. I didn't have an event to go to or a special shoot. Actually, up until this point we hadn't done anything special for events because the website had just started…I would say this outfit sparked the inspiration to make special photo sets for events!
The dressing rooms at Urban Outfitters were closed so I decided to YOLO (you only live once) my life. I grabbed the dress, crossing my fingers it was the right size and fit. We spent the money and left the mall. When I got home I tried the dress on, it was so cute. It was so festive and made me think of the New Year. When we packed for Big Bear I threw this dress in hoping for the opportunity to take pictures in it, who would have thought two years later it would become a super festive throwback!
I hope everyone loved seeing different versions of the past two years in this week's collections. I always like to do special things that I hope you will all enjoy. Keep a look out for 2023 because we are doing our best to add quality and make all of you supporters happy! See you next week.
