A Cozy Fall Shoot - III

Updated: Jan 14, 2023

Sometimes when taking photos finding the perfect place is hard, especially by my house. We originally drove down to the old part of town but my mom (also my personal favorite photographer) wasn't feeling very inspired. I also wasn't feeling super into it but what I have noticed is that as the model it is easier to work if the photographer is liking the scenery. So I suggested that we drive down to the closest big city which is Provo. Usually Provo is busy with many college students because Provo is where BYU is located. It also has attractions such as the Latter Day Saints Temple, The Covey Center for The Arts and downtown attractions. Therefore it's usually busy with many people walking around.

We shot this set on Sunday so the city was barely populated. The thing about Utah Valley is that most things are closed on Sunday due to religious reasons. As I previously said Provo is the home of BYU so most of the students were in their dorms. Due to no one being out shooting photos on Sunday is the best. We get privacy to be able to shoot and have a good time. We also don't have to deal with people being in the back of any images.

This photo set was actually shot in front of a Postal Office. The greenery was so nice and amplified this outfit. It is the perfect mix of Fall and Winter. Some of the leaves were falling and were on the ground which made a crunching sound as we walked. I love being able to trek through leaves and hear the sound it makes. Seriously guys, if you haven't heard crunching leaves go google it right now and enjoy the fall vibes.

Personally Thanksgiving isn't on the top of my list for favorite Holidays. I'm not sure why but it never fully made me excited. However for some reason this year I'm very excited (truthfully I'm most happy for the five days off school). I need the break so badly! My plans so far are working with my mom, getting some business stuff done, sleeping a tonnn and going thrift shopping at the Goodwill Bins the first day of break.

Thank you all for tuning in and checking out this photo set. Thanks for watching the videos and maybe send a text or write a letter to someone you care about. Tell them why you care for them or what makes them special to you. Finally, thank you. I wouldn't be able to do what I do if it wasn't for all of you amazing Alana Kern Life supporters. Thanks for being here and Happy Thanksgiving!! - With love Alana Mei
